Welcome to My Healthy Today. Your privacy is important to My
Healthy Today, Inc. ("MHT") and Private Health News,
Inc. ("PHN"). PHN is under contract with MHT to provide
to you the health information you requested ("Content")
on behalf of MHT. That information is provided to you through
PHN's website even though it is framed with MHT's logo. This
Privacy Policy tells you what information we collect about you
and about your use of our Website.
1. Information Collection and Use
Information Collection. To make your experience
on our Website and through the emails sent to you on the Content
as valuable as possible, you must register. During registration
you will be requested to provide certain required and optional
contact information, demographic information and unique identifiers.
We use this information so that the Content that we send to
you via emails or make available to you through our Website
is only the information that you have requested. We also collect
non-personal information from you about your use of our Website,
emails and special promotions that we send to you.
Information Use. The following are other ways that we
use information about you that we have collected. Except as
specifically mentioned in this Privacy Policy, we will not provide
you name, address, email address or other personally identifiable
information to any third party, other than MHT, without your
prior consent.
Aggregate Data.
We create aggregate data about visitors to our Website
to assist us in developing and improving our Website and the
emails that are sent to you. We also use aggregate data for
market analysis. We may provide information from our Website
in aggregate form, with personal identifying information removed,
to third parties. For example, we may tell a healthcare partner
what percentage of our users reside in a particular geographical
area or provide information to a potential advertiser of a
product that would appeal to a diabetes patient about what
percentage of our users have indicated that they are interested
in receiving information about diabetes. We are clear with
our partners that our users have only indicated an interest
in a particular medical topic and that there is no correlation
with our users' requesting information on a topic and having
a disease or condition covered by that topic. Depending on
our agreement with the third parties, we may or may not charge
our partners for this information.
Marketing and Advertising. We may target our advertising
or marketing depending on information we have about you. For
example, a user we know is a woman may receive advertising
for products targeted at women that a male user will not see,
or a user that we know is interested in the topic of diabetes
may receive advertising for new diabetes therapies (although
in neither case will the advertiser have access to any individually
identifiable information about you through us). Information
about users' visits to our Website, such as number of times
they have viewed an ad (but not user name, address, or other
personal information), may be provided to advertisers who
furnish ads to users on our Website.
Third Parties. In addition to sharing aggregate data (discussed
previously), we may share some kinds of information with third
parties as described below
My Healthy Today (MHT): Under our agreement with MHT,
both MHT and PHN have access to and ownership rights for all
user information on our Website that is either branded or
co-branded with MHT. Users cannot opt-out of having their
information provided to MHT. MHT has agreed to honor the applicable
terms of this Privacy Policy with regard to all information
collected through our Website.
Transfer to Third Party: PHN may, at its option, contract
with a hospital, medical center, health care system or other
medical service provider ("MSP") in your area to
offer the Content, now provided thru MHT, through the MSP's
website. In that event, PHN may provide your personal information
to the MSP and have the Content that you receive provided
through the MSP's website. Prior to providing your personal
information to the MSP (i) the MSP must agree to abide by
the terms of our then current Privacy Policy with respect
to any of your personal information that we provide to them
(this would not apply to any personal information you may
have provided to the MSP for any other purpose), and (ii)
We will give you e-mail notice of our intent to transfer your
personal information to the MSP and provide you with 30 days
to opt-out. However, in the event that you opt-out, you no
longer will receive the Content, as of the time that you opt-out.
Business Transfers :
If we transfer a business unit (such as a subsidiary) or an
asset (such as our Website) to another entity, we will require
them to honor the applicable terms of this Privacy Policy.
Promotional/Special Offers:
Sometimes we may communicate offers to selected groups of
users on behalf of other businesses. When we do this, we do
not give that business your name and contact information.
In other situations, we may provide you an opt-in box to consent
to receiving an email from a business, and we make clear that
by opting in you consent to submitting your data to that third
party. You can always opt out of receiving such emails at
the time you register or at any time; see Choices/Opt Out
below for more details about opting out.
Legal Requirements :
We may release personal information, if, in our judgment
after review by an attorney, the release is compelled by law
or regulation, or if the release is necessary to prevent the
death or serious injury of an individual.
Subsidiaries :
PHN may disclose personal information to its corporate
subsidiaries and sister corporations. Any personal information
provided to subsidiaries or sister companies of PHN will be
treated by those subsidiaries in accordance with the terms
of this Privacy Policy.
Other than the cases described above, we will not release
personally identifiable information about you to a third party
without your consent.
2. Profile

third parties to create a profile of our users. A profile is

is tied to the users' personally identifiable information to
provide offers and improve the content of our Website for users.
